The new built house is located in Tar, a town between Novigrad and Poreč, on a hill slope looking towards the green istrian countryside and the sea. Tar is a calm place, ideal for living or just part time enjoing. Conection with other cities is verry good. The KABO house has 250 m2 on a 909 m2 plot. The primary concept was to obtain a clear view towards the greenery and the sea, and making a good relation between servant and served spaces regarding the usage of spaces in different times of the day and year. The logical plan was a half atrium plan. With this position, the house serves as a barrier to the road and neighbours, but opens to the view. The house takes care of sun path and different sun position through the year. In the summer the thickness of the wall in the living area shades the interior as well as the cantiliver above the kitchen. In winter times the sun enters in the house and warms it. Garden of the house is verry spacious with mediterranian greenery (olive trees that were found on the plot and replaced, lavand, pitospors, salvia,...) Pool is stacked in the half atrium space. The hole garden serves like a lounge zone.
The interior is simple, with a lot of greenery. The main accent in space are steel stairs with wooden tread.
The concreete walls and ceiling were left to be seen.
The house has two floors and a roof terrace with kitchen.
Ground floor consists of living area divided in two level, kitchen, dining, WC and mechanic room. On first flor there are 3 rooms with bathrooms and a service room. It is a fluid open space that interferes with exterior.
